New Beginnings
(24:38 min.)
Ephesians 4:24
New Year Prosperity Gospel is False!
When I think of prosperity gospel, I think of, "May the Force be with you." You know that old Star Wars slogan? In other words, let's think up new and interesting ways to successfully manipulate God to do what we want Him to do.

Reality of Angels
(28:19 min.)
Luke 2:13-14
Christmas Seeing Angels
We seem to be willing to believe most anything about God, as long as He remains back there in time and we're comfortable in the present day. And so when angels start popping out of the woodwork? We get much less comfortable.

Scripture reading: Matthew 2:12-16
December 16th, 2012
Call His Name Immanuel
(28:34 min.)
Matthew 1:18-25
Advent A Little Girl in Trouble
Notice how Joseph had decided to quietly ditch the girl and somehow make his life quieter, or less difficult, or less stressful. But God was having none of this. I can imagine the dinner conversations that went back and forth for a while after that.
December 9th, 2012
(28:16 min.)
2 Kings 2:1-11
Advent Reason for the Season
A sign from God is meant to reassure, that God will do what He says He will do. Our sign is a Child in a manger.

Who Touched Me?
(26:55 min.)
Mark 5:30
Advent Opportunities to Witness
We're poised, as Christians, in the middle of the Christmas season amidst all this fluff, the commercial messages, the reindeer stories and all that, and we have the true message of Jesus Christ. And there are folks out there truly yearning to hear about the birth of Christ.

Shows His Love
(27:55 min.)
Deuteronomy 10:18
Advent Love -- Basic of Faith
If God is a god of infinite love, then He expects us to love Him and love those around us. In essence He told the Israelites, "Look, I took care of you in Egypt where you were aliens, now treat the homeless in your land with compassion, too." This is a tough pill to swallow.

Scripture reading: Ann T -- Isaiah 9:6-7
November 18th, 2012
For an Inheritance
(24:05 min.)
Hebrews 11:8
Thanksgiving Living Out Your Thanksgiving
How does God's leadings work in your life for you? In every case here in Hebrews 11, we see that God's people are willing to step out in faith, into no small amount of danger, and live their lives according to His will.
November 11th, 2012
Temple of God
(30:26 min.)
1 Corinthians 3:16
Where is Your Faith? Taking Care of Ourselves
In some sense of the word He owns us, lock, stock, and barrel. We are no longer our own, but we belong to Somebody else. And so, if He does own us? Then we need to take care of the temple for Him.

Scripture reading: Jim L -- Matthew 5:27-30
November 4th, 2012
Old Things Passed Away
(24:43 min.)
2 Corinthians 5:17
Where is Your Faith? Someone Ought to Notice
If we take seriously the knowledge that God wants a close and personal relationship with each and every one of us, if we take seriously the knowledge that God cannot countenance sin, and if we take seriously the knowledge that Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins, then we at least ought to be willing to put behind us an old and out-of-date lifestye that leads away from God!

Walk by Faith
(34:20 min.)
2 Corinthians 5:7
Where is Your Faith? Ready for Heaven
If you are born again, then it gets a little crowded inside your skin every once in a while. If the Holy Spirit resides in you, then He will change how you see the world, He will help you understand God's leading in your life, and He will give you the tools to remain faithful in Him.

Scripture reading: Nathaniel S -- 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
October 21st, 2012
Wrought of God
(30:40 min.)
John 3:16-21

Consider v.20, "evil hates the Light". During the DNC, when it was proposed that they reinsert the word "God" back into their basic platform, people booed and hissed.

Scripture reading: Linda D -- Ephesians 2:4-10
October 14th, 2012
Cannot See the Kingdom of God

Compelled Faith
(32:07 min.)
Galatians 2:11-16
Where is Your Faith? A Substitute Faith
We, too, can take on a form of works based righteousness (Law) through our rules and through our teachings. And as church, we can show our faith to the world in such a way that it drives people away.

Scripture reading: Ann T -- 1 John 1:5-10
September 30th, 2012
Real Faith
(30:40 min.)
James 2:26
Where is Your Faith? A Godly Faith
My concern is that we can get so wrapped up in the mechanics of day to day living that we can forget that God requires more of us than simply feeling good about Him.

Scripture reading: Don M -- Colossians 1:9-14
Jim L -- Matthew 6:1,5
September 23rd, 2012
The Assurance of Things Hoped For
(28:52 min.)
Hebrews 11:1
Where is Your Faith? What Does the World See?
The world sees what is important in your life, they always do. You cannot hide the things that are important in your life. So think about it, when was the last time that you got really excited about hearing God's Word? When was the last time that you got really motivated to get even closer to Him?

Scripture reading: Ann T
Romans 8:18-25
September 16th, 2012

Scripture reading: Doris B

September 9th, 2012
Hindered Prayer
(17:48 min.)
1 Peter 3:8-12
Prayer and Meditation Sin Blocks Access to God
The baseline for life, as God would have of us, is refusing to get involved in the fights and drama, and instead become involved in the healing and the love. And the reason we strive for this is so that we do not harm our own relationship with the Lord.
September 2nd, 2012
O Lord, Hear!   O Lord, Forgive!
(30:37 min.)
Daniel 9:3-19
Prayer and Meditation Unexpected Consequences of Prayer
Daniel sets his prayer request in the context of who God is, knowing that God responds accordingly. And let me say, this is not a bad way to go.

Scripture reading: Carol J

August 26th, 2012
Forget Not Your Servant
(30:59 min.)
1 Samuel 2:1-10
Prayer and Meditation Prayer Changes Things
God uses the harsh times in our lives to bring us closer to Him, because He wants that personal relationship with each and every one of us. God also uses the situations in our lives for His own purposes, that we may walk according to His will, as an example, but also, that His goals are achieved.

Scripture reading: Dan B

August 19th, 2012
Wholly Devoted to the Lord
(31:29 min.)
1 Kings 8:56-61
Prayer and Meditation Glorifying God
"Blessed be the Lord." This is a good way to start off any prayer, blessed be the Lord. You may recognize the Hebrew word for blessed, there are a few churches with that in the name. The word is Barak, and the churches use the form Baracha.

Scripture reading: Ann T
Romans 8:31-39
August 12th, 2012
There is None Like You
(35:22 min.)
2 Samuel 7:18-29
Prayer and Meditation God's Uniqueness
And if I may, this is an essential part of prayer. Somewhere deep down inside of us we need to understand that God is in control and we are not. And I would even go so far as to suggest that we say it out loud when we pray.

Scripture reading: Bill B
John 21:15-19

July 29th, 2012
Sing for Joy!
(30:22 min.)
Psalm 84
Joy in the Lord! Peace & Joy
Faith does not make sense unless you want to be closer to God. Because at the end-of-the-age? At the end of your life? You will be so close to God that His light will be the light you live by! His power will sustain you directly! His love will surround you completely!

Scripture reading: Matthew 5:3-12
July 22nd, 2012

Abomination of Desolation
(30:37 min.)
Matthew 24:12-22
End of the Age Signs of the Times
Jesus gives us the signs to look for and then He says, in effect, "Look folks, you need to persevere in your faith despite what the world throws at you." And at the end-of-the-age the world is going to look more than a little scrambled.

Scripture reading: Nathaniel S
Luke 18:1-8
June 3rd, 2012
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand
(34:25 min.)

Many Will Come
(32:15 min.)
Matthew 24:4-5

Keep Fervent in Your Love
(27:44 min.)

April 22nd, 2012
Do Not Neglect to Show Hospitality
(33:32 min.)
Hebrews 13:1-2
One Another Engaging in Real Faith
Is that all we can do? Because, you see, there's a game that we who are Christians play. And that game is that we position ourselves to be as comfortable as possible. We carefully walk to the other side of the road and ignore the tragedy without appearing to do so! And then we turn our back on the real problem.

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 2:11-17
April 15th, 2012
Grant You the Same Mind

Sonrise Service!
He is Risen!
And what we see here is that God brings us a message that even with the death of His Son, He is still in charge! God laid out a plan for the life of His Son just as He has laid out a plan for our lives. And all we need do is to listen and trust in Him!

April 1st, 2012

1 John 1:6
One Another A Warning Against Denial
All we know is what we know, and I'm talking about sin here. And as much as it grieves me to say this from the pulpit, sin is a part of our lives. And so we need to deal with it!

Let Us Not Judge
(36:02 min.)

(36:38 min.)
John 5:39-47
One Another The Whole Counsel of God
The God is Dead craze . . was saying we don't believe in Him then He doesn't really exist . . that's false. That's like saying, "I don't believe in gravity." and then jumping off the nearest cliff. (Kids, don't try this at home.)

Scripture reading: Ann T

Out of Ur of the Chaldeans
(31:03 min.)
Genesis 11:31
Real Faith God's Plans in Our Lives
I would submit to you this morning that when it comes to God's plans a "reality check" should not even enter into the picture. God's blessing was so far out there that childless Abram & Sarai could not even imagine it!

February 5th, 2012
Do Not Embitter Your Children
(23:28 min.)
Colossians 3:21
Men of Faith Work with Your Children
The way we defend against this is that we train up our children in the ways of the Lord and we do not embitter them. Your children need to able to come to you and speak openly about any fool thing they are doing without feeling like they are going to get busted each and every time they open their mouths.

Scripture reading: Genesis 18:17-19

Husbands, Love Your Wives
(31:33 min.)
Colossians 3:19
Men of Faith God Has Certain Expectations
I was told one time; "It is the women who come to faith first, and then they drag their men into church, and eventually the men come to faith in Jesus Christ." But the Bible does not view the world that way. You see, the Bible assumes that a man will take charge of his spiritual household.

Scripture reading: Jim L

Just as Christ Loved the Church
(33:22 min.)
Ephesians 5:25-33
Men of Faith Men and Love
When men think of "love" they usually think of sex, but when women think of "love" they usually think of relationship. There is a vast gulf between the two genders in just these basic life skills!

A New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17
New Year All or Nothing
And I am here to stress to you this morning that your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior is an all or nothing affair.
